Brief Bio-sketch of Director: Dr. Vanitha S. Rao has a PhD from the Department of Psychiatry at St. John’s Medical College Hospital. After a Master’s Degree in Human Development, she got two diplomas in special education in the field of learning disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. She started her career in a developmental clinic and has over 2 decades of experience in working with children with developmental disabilities and as a teacher trainer. She has several research papers to her credit. Her areas of interest include early intervention and cognitive behavior therapy for children on the autism spectrum. She has been very fortunate to have had many of her clients doing well in mainstream education.

Padmavati has a Master’s degree in Mathematics and B.Ed. After a decade of teaching in a mainstream school, she switched to special education. She has a special education diploma in the field of autism spectrum disorders.
